Founded in 2008 in Istanbul, Zilberman expanded its international presence with the opening of its Berlin gallery in 2016. Dedicated to creating transnational platforms for artists, the gallery aims to carry diverse artistic practices across borders. Zilberman actively supports the career development of emerging and mid-career artists by including them in its annual program.

In addition to its main gallery spaces in Istanbul and Berlin, Zilberman engages the public through a project space located in Istanbul. The gallery occupies two distinct floors of the historic Mısır Apartment, one of Istanbul’s most iconic art nouveau buildings, housing both its main exhibition space and project venue. Zilberman’s second space in Istanbul, Zilberman Selected, operated between 2022 and 2025, hosting curated and solo exhibitions during that time. After opening its first Berlin location at Goethestraße 82 in 2016, the gallery relocated its exhibition program to Schlüterstraße 45 between 2023 and 2025. Concurrently, it ran a nonprofit initiative under the name Platform 82 at the original Goethestraße location between 2023 and 2024. Zilberman also operated a gallery space in Miami’s Design District from 2023 to 2025, extending its international engagement to the United States during this period.

The gallery maintains a strong presence at international art fairs, establishing close relationships with collectors, curators, and art professionals while creating new opportunities for its artists. With a commitment to cultural education, exchange, and social responsibility, Zilberman organizes artist talks, residencies, book launches, conferences, and various public programs around its exhibitions. Through its artist-in-residency programs in Istanbul and Berlin, the gallery offers artists the opportunity to live and work in both cities. Each year, Zilberman concludes its exhibition season with Young Fresh Different, a group exhibition showcasing works by young artists selected through a nationwide open call reviewed by an independent jury.
