Zilberman sanatçıları OMM Müzesi’nde (20/02/2021)

The contemporary art museum OMM (Odunpazarı Modern Museum), which was brought to life by Erol Tabanca in Eskişehir Odunpazarı, was the center of attention with its At the End of the Day exhibition between October 2, 2020 and April 25, 2021. The event brought together many artists from Zilberman under its roof. Based on Ursula K. Le Guin’s story, “The Word for World is Forest,” first published in 1972, the selection takes root in the world we live in, which is called “Terra” in Le Guin’s work, transformed into a concrete planet whose resources have been used up. The works that focus on exaggerated consumption and production to feed this consumption, the delusion that nature can be a commodity or a “background” for man, and forced migration that is to mark the next century, invite the audience to rethink their relationship with nature. Works of Azade Köker, Elmas Deniz, Guido Casaretto and Yaşam Şaşmazer are displayed in this exhibition as well as around forty representatives of Turkey’s contemporary art.
