In Untitled (after Lina Bo Bardi) and Untitled (after Simone Weil), Yane Calovski continues his inquiry into the spatial, ethical, and conceptual architectures that underpin creative and social practice. Emerging from the wider project Schöning Revisited: Extensions, Chroma, Inflections, the pieces distill his engagement with Pascal Schöning’s notion of “Cinematic Architecture” into a textual form. This concept approaches architecture as something that involves not just construction, but also the arrangement of space, activities, and social connections. From this point of departure, Calovski draws resonances to Lina Bo Bardi and Simone Weil - two figures whose thinking was rooted in care, community, and moral structure, and who understood creation as a profoundly social act.
