Fatoş İrwen was among the international artists participating in the Vienna Art Week 2025 exhibition, taking place from November 8 – 14, 2025 at the historic Funkhaus Wien.
This year’s exhibition unfolded within the former Public Broadcasting Building —an architectural and cultural landmark that has played a key role in Vienna’s history since the 1930s. Long situated at the intersection of education, communication, and political influence, the Funkhaus offers an extraordinary backdrop for the festival’s 2025 theme: Learning Systems.
Curated by Robert Punkenhofer (Artistic Director of Vienna Art Week) and Işın Önol (Co-Curator), the exhibition brings together leading international artists and Vienna-based positions in a setting that expands beyond the traditional white cube, making full use of the building’s layered history and spatial complexity.
