The Promises of Monsters, featuring Yaşam Şaşmazer, has been extended
The run of The Promises of Monsters, the group exhibition featuring Udagan by Yaşam Şaşmazer, has been extended through February 28, 2027. Curated by Ezgi Hamzaçebi and presented at Hara, the exhibition reimagines the figure of the "monster" as a transformative, liminal presence that resists fixed categories while bringing together ten artists exploring human and more-than-human forms of existence.
Comprising largely site-specific sculptures, installations, photographs, and videos, The Promises of Monstersinvites audiences to reconsider embodiment, identity, and belonging through themes of hybridity, mutation, and transformation. The exhibition continues to explore shifting boundaries between the human and the non-human, the natural and the artificial, and the visible and the suppressed.
