Larry Muñoz at the group exhibition Iteraciones at Vértigo Contemporary
Vértigo Contemporary presents Iteraciones, a group exhibition on view from November 28, 2025, bringing together five artists—José Rosero, Santiago Castro, Laura Mora, Larry Muñoz, and Pez Barcelona—whose practices explore the demanding, iterative nature of artistic creation.
The exhibition draws on sociologist Pierre Bourdieu’s reflections on artistic ambition—not as a measure of success or hierarchy, but as a sustained, rigorous commitment to the act of making. Iteraciones frames this ambition as a form of creative sacrifice: the continuous process of revisiting, reworking, and rebuilding. Repetition becomes a declaration of persistence, an insistence on beginning again despite uncertainty, fatigue, or the inevitable pressures of time.
As Iteraciones brings these five voices into conversation, it invites viewers to look beyond the finished object and toward the cycles of effort that shape it, offering a meditation on perseverance as the core of artistic ambition.
