Berlin's Kunstverein Tiergarten presents Future Archives / Archive Futures, a group exhibition featuring Sim Chi Yin alongside !Mediengruppe Bitnik, Nora Al-Badri, Wie-yi T. Lauw and other artists. Curated by Julia Heunemann, Lusin Reinsch and Ulrike Riebel, the show runs from October 8 to December 18, 2026 at rk – Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst (Möllendorffstraße 6, 10367 Berlin). The opening takes place on October 7 at 6 pm.
The exhibition considers archives as infrastructures of possible futures, asking how digital systems and AI-generated images, texts and voices are changing what is preserved, by whom and for whom. It also explores more decentralized and collaborative forms of memory in which those whose stories are archived become producers of that memory themselves.
