The catalogue The Vast Automaton, featuring Heba Y. Amin, has been published on the occasion of the 5th Industrial Art Biennial. Held across Labin, Raša, Pula, and Vodnjan in Croatia from October 24 to November 30, 2025, the biennial brought together the work of 36 artists.
Curated by Bani Brusadin and Giulia Colletti, the biennial examines industrialisation not only as a material force but also as a cultural engine. Spanning extraction, logistics, data streams, automated feedback loops, infrastructures, intelligence, and agency, its research investigates the ways industrial systems shape contemporary life.
Extending the biennial’s investigation, The Vast Automaton brings together the participating artists’ work, opening up further perspectives on industrialisation, automation, and their social and cultural implications.
