Itamar Gov selected for Labó Bosa’s artist residency

Itamar Gov has been selected for The Economics of Being Looked At, an artist residency organised by Labó Bosa in Sardinia, Italy. Supported by the European Union’s Culture Moves Europe programme, the residency will take place in Bosa from March 1 to 31, 2027.

Bringing together five artists from different disciplines, the programme explores what authenticity means today for both artists and places. Drawing parallels between the pressure on destinations to conform to visitors’ expectations and the demand for artists to produce work that is recognisable, legible and marketable, the residency invites participants to reconsider their own artistic languages and working practices.

Alongside their individual projects, the artists will develop a collaborative print edition, exploring how distinct artistic approaches can come together through a shared process. The programme will conclude with an open studio presenting the outcomes of the residency.
