Azade Köker at Wide Expanse exhibition at OMM
Odunpazarı Modern Museum (OMM) opens the new season with Wide Expanse, a group exhibition that explores the culture of dining, celebration, and togetherness through painting, sculpture, and installation. The exhibition revisits shared rituals and collective memory through contemporary visual languages.
Wide Expanse reflects on the human desire for connection, recalling not only the act of gathering around a table but also the conversations, music, friendship, love, sorrow, and joy that accompany it. The exhibition spans a broad historical and cultural landscape—from ancient feasts to Ottoman taverns, from early Republican entertainment venues to today’s digital gatherings—approaching the table as a site of sharing, performance, and celebration.
Curated by Yağmur Elif Ertekin, the Wide Expanse exhibition is on view at Odunpazarı Modern Museum (OMM), Eskişehir, from November 29, 2025 to September 13, 2026.
