Taking place between December 25, 2025 and March 22, 2026 at Müze Gazhane, When Dust Overshadows the Stars (Toz, Yıldızları Gölgede Bıraktığında), curated by Uras Kızıl, brings together artists whose practices engage with the notions of light, darkness, and their shifting interplay. The exhibition includes works by Alpin Arda Bağcık and approaches illumination as both a historical reference and a metaphorical framework.
Taking inspiration from the 19th century—a period marked by Enlightenment thought alongside its inherent contradictions—the exhibition reflects on dust and stars as opposing yet intertwined forces: one dispersing and absorbing light, the other producing it from within. Through this dialogue, the exhibition invites viewers to reconsider darkness not merely as the absence of light, but as a space for imagination, perception, and alternative ways of seeing.
