Azade Köker featured in Staged exhibition at Arkas Art Alaçatı (29/05/2025)

Azade Köker is among the participating artists in the interdisciplinary group exhibition Staged / Sahnelenmiş, on view at Arkas Art Alaçatı from May 29, 2025 to January 4, 2026. Curated by Billur Tansel, the exhibition reflects on the climate crisis as both a human-made disaster and a mirror to humanity’s existential detachment from nature.

Köker’s work in the exhibition critically engages with the artificial representations of nature, evoking a poetic confrontation with ecological collapse. Her layered visual language offers a space for rethinking the fragile bond between humans and the natural world. Bringing together 86 works by 35 artists, Staged transforms nature into a theatrical scene, highlighting the tension between simulation and reality. Köker’s contribution intensifies this narrative, urging viewers to reflect on aesthetic constructions as political acts.
