Heba Y. Amin presents keynote Future Ways of Seeing at Investigative Arts opening (25/09/2025)
Heba Y. Amin participated in the opening program of Investigative Arts with her keynote talk, Future Ways of Seeing on September 25, 2025 at Kampnagel. In her presentation, Amin explored how digital colonialism shapes memory regimes that allow the retroactive construction of evidence, raising the question of whose narratives are created and preserved when systems of visibility reinforce dominant power hierarchies.
Working with political themes and archival history, Amin employs film, photography, archival material, and installations in her research-based projects, often taking a speculative and satirical approach to examine the role of power in visual representation.
