Sim Chi Yin at the Sama Sama exhibition at Whitestone Gallery Singapore (08/08/2025)
Sim Chi Yin is featured in Sama Sama, an exhibition organized in celebration of SG60 and curated by Dr. Wang Ruobing. On view from August 8 to September 28, 2025, at Whitestone Gallery Singapore, the exhibition brings together works by 60 artists and collectives from across generations, reflecting on Singapore’s evolving history and cultural journey through a spirit of artistic togetherness. Spanning diverse mediums including film, installation, painting, photography, multimedia, printmaking, socially engaged practices, and performance, the exhibition explores themes such as ecology, technology, global crises, society, politics, and identity. With contributions from Sim Chi Yin and many others, Sama Sama highlights the values of freedom, diversity, imagination, creativity, inclusiveness, and resistance, offering a multidimensional artistic statement on sixty years of nation building.
