Selçuk Artut took part in the 15th International Illustration Research Symposium at Koç University (22/11/2025)
Selçuk Artut was a keynote speaker at the 15th International Illustration Research Symposium, titled The Apparatus: The Role of Technology in Illustration, which takes place on November 21 – 22, 2025 at Koç University, Istanbul.
Within the scope of the symposium, Artut contributes both as an author and as a panel chair. His paper, Code as an Apparatus: Generative Geometric Patterns in Illustration, examines how creative coding reshapes traditional approaches to geometric pattern-making through algorithmic systems and generative processes.
In addition, Artut serves as Chair of Panel 13 – “Hand/Handmade”, held on November 22, bringing together international speakers to discuss the evolving role of the hand, authorship, and machine intervention in contemporary illustration.
