Sim Chi Yin gave a talk at the International Association for Visual Culture Conference (09/10/2025)
On October 10, 2025, Sim Chi Yin delivered an artist talk at the annual conference of the International Association for Visual Culture (IAVC), held at Dartmouth College. The conference, titled Kinship. Freedom. Abolition, took place from October 9 – 11, 2025.
Chi Yin’s talk brought her into conversation with Deepali Dewan, Iyko Day, and Thy Phu. During the session, she contextualised her commissioned installation The Suitcase Is A Little Bit Rotten and her new video work Time Travels With A Rotten Suitcase for the Hood Museum of Art, presented within the exhibition Visual Kinship.
