Itamar Gov at Triennale Milano: Una casa, una musa, tre visioni artistiche (04/02/2026)

Itamar Gov took part in Una casa, una musa, tre visioni artistiche, held from February 4 to 22, 2026, as part of the Casa Italia programme at Triennale Milano. Structured around nine thematic sections, each dedicated to a different “Muse,” the exhibition brought together artistic practices spanning disciplines from visual arts and architecture to music and performance, reflecting on diversity as a shared cultural value.

Within this framework, Gov presented The Mausoleum of Rejected Citrons, a work developed during his In-Ruins residency in Calabria. The installation features one thousand discarded citrons—fruits deemed imperfect due to irregularities in form, colour, or surface—spread across the floor of a Gothic church. Referencing a centuries-old ritual tied to the Jewish festival of Sukkot, the work draws attention to systems of selection, exclusion, and symbolic value embedded within cultural and religious practices.
