Eşref Yıldırım takes part in Tender Territories, a group exhibition curated by Miriam Hausner and Nathalie Sofie Schulz, opening on April 16, 2026 at Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf, and on view through April 30.
Bringing together 25 artists from 17 countries, the exhibition emerges from the Borderland Residencies programme along the European border region between Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. Tender Territories reflects on the porous and evolving nature of territory, approaching it not as a fixed geopolitical boundary but as a space shaped by time, presence, and perception.
Through a range of artistic practices, the exhibition explores how places are formed by light, bodies, and narratives, while tracing how memory, belonging, and transformation become embedded within them.
