İz Öztat participates in the exhibition Wie verlernen wir Gehorsam?, on view from 10 May to 12 July 2026 at Galerie Nord – Studio | Galerie Nord.
Co-developed by Pary El-Qalqili and İz Öztat, the exhibition is structured around the question of how obedience is learned—and how it can be unlearned. The project examines systems of education, state structures, and mechanisms of social discipline, using artistic practices to foreground dynamics of authority, control, and resistance.
Bringing together works that reflect on schooling and governance in Germany, the exhibition reframes learning as a political as well as pedagogical space.
