Sim Chi Yin at Second Nature: Photography in the Age of the Anthropocene (13/06/2026)
Sim Chi Yin is participating in Second Nature: Photography in the Age of the Anthropocene, on view at the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art from May 22 to September 13, 2026. The exhibition is curated by Jessica May and Marshall N. Price.
One of the first major exhibitions to examine the Anthropocene through the lens of contemporary photography, Second Nature brings together approximately forty-five artists from across the globe to explore the environmental, social, and political consequences of human activity. Through a wide range of photographic practices, the exhibition addresses issues including climate change, resource extraction, environmental injustice, colonial legacies, and forced migration.
Organized around four thematic sections, the exhibition highlights the complex relationships between humanity and the natural world. Within this framework, Sim Chi Yin's work contributes to broader reflections on ecological transformation, history, and collective memory.
