Cengiz Tekin and Erkan Özgen in conversation at Istanbul Modern (24/06/2026)

Cengiz Tekin participated in On Art, the City, and Everyday Life, a public conversation held on 25 June 2026 as part of Istanbul Modern's Your Thursday Artist Meetings programme, organized with the support of Paribu. The artist joined Erkan Özgen in a discussion with audiences at the museum.

The conversation explored the social, cultural, and political contexts that have shaped the practices of both artists over many years, focusing on the intersections of art, the city, memory, and everyday life. Drawing on their experience as co-founders of the independent art space Loading in Diyarbakır, Tekin and Özgen reflected on collaboration, solidarity, cultural transformation, and the relationship between artistic production and public life.

Part of Istanbul Modern's ongoing series dedicated to artists' creative processes and experiences, the programme offered a platform for reflecting on art as a space for encounter, discussion, and collective thinking.
