Isaac Chong Wai presents Falling Reversely at Serralves em Festa 2026 (29/05/2026)
Isaac Chong Wai participated in Serralves em Festa 2026, held in Porto, Portugal, from 29 to 31 May 2026. As part of the festival programme, he presented Falling Reversely in three performances on 30 and 31 May.
Drawing on surveillance footage documenting violent attacks against people of Asian descent, Falling Reversely reinterprets the act of falling as a gesture of solidarity and resistance. By imagining ways to slow down and reverse the trajectory of violence, the performance transforms individual trauma into collective action, addressing systemic discrimination, vulnerability, and shared resilience.
