Pedro Gómez-Egaña joins Zilberman Gallery’s roster of artists (16/11/2017)


In his artistic practice, Pedro Gómez-Egaña creates sculptures, 3D installations, phonographic works, and films, and also uses mediums such as performance, text and voice. At the center of his artistic approach is the performative aspect of the sculpture presented as dynamic, moving objects or theatrical space. The practice of the artist focuses on the effects of technology and its effect on our methods of experiencing and understanding time.

 

Pedro Gómez-Egaña (Colombia, 1976), lives and works in Bergen (Norway) and Copenhagen (Denmark). His works have been featured in the 15th Istanbul Biennial (Istanbul, 2017), the Contour Biennial (Mechelen, Belgium, 2017), Museo de Arte Moderno (Medellin, Colombia, 2017), the Kochi-Muziris Biennial (Kochi, India, 2016), Mana Contemporary (New Jersey, USA, 2015), the Colomboscope Biennial (Colombo, Sri Lanka, 2015), Performa 13 (New York, USA, 2013), Kunstall Mulhouse (Mulhouse, France, 2013), and the Marrakech Biennial (Marrakech, Morocco, 2009). His latest personal exhibitions have been featured at Entrée Bergen (Bergen, Norway, 2017), Hordaland Art Centre (Bergen, Norway, 2015), and Casas Riegner Bogotá (Bogota, Colombia, 2013).
