Pedro Gómez-Egaña with 'Sleipnir' at YARAT Contemporary Art Centre, Baku (11/12/2018)
Pedro Gómez-Egaña’s solo exhibition 'Sleipnir' is taking place at Yarat Contemporary Art Space in Baku, Azerbaijan from 9 November 2018 until 10 February 2019. Showcasing a major new artwork as part of his ongoing Observatory series, Gómez-Egaña creates a multi-sensory, immersive experience, building a large-scale pavilion structure within YARAT’s gallery walls. Titled 'Sleipnir', the exhibition directly references the eight-legged horse ridden by Odin, a god in Norse mythology featured in Heyerdal’s theories, who travelled from Azerbaijan to Scandinavia.
