Guido Casaretto at Art On Istanbul, Istanbul (08/10/2019)
With his work Calacatta Scarts - South and Eastern Slope, 2018, Guido Casaretto participated in the group exhibition ‘Part-Whole II’ at Art On İstanbul. The annual exhibition proposes to observe and compare the layers of artworks both from an intellectual and a technical approach, using the part-whole relationship as the main concept. Guido Casaretto's work from the series “Calacatta Scarts”, which resembles the block cubes extracted from the marble quarries, examines the relationship between the art object and the dominance artisanship has on skill and material. Other artists whose works are shown at the exhibition include Canan Dağdelen, Şakir Gökçebağ, Nuri Kuzucan and Seçkin Pirim. The exhibition is on view until October 26, 2019.
