Heba Y. Amin at Art D'Égypte, Cairo as part of the group show (20/12/2019)


With her work Windows on the West, 2019, Heba Y. Amin takes part in the exhibition "Reimagined Narratives" which is the third in the series of annual exhibitions to be held at different heritage sites across Egypt. Amin’s textile work is situated at Egypt’s 14th century Hall of Moheb al-Den Abu al-Tayeb. This venue is located directly adjacent to the Egyptian Textile Museum, the only textile museum in the Middle East narrating the history of textiles with Egypt at its center.

The exhibition, on view until 9 November, brings together a diverse range of 28 contemporary Egyptian artists in four main locations along Mu’iz li-Din Allah al-Fatimi Street in the UNESCO world-heritage site, in historic Cairo. The exhibition also includes works by Ahmed Farid, Amir Youssef, Ghada Amer, Hany Rashed, Ibrahim Khatab, Islam Shabana, Karim El Hayawan, Marianne Fahmy, Moaaz El Dmasy, Tarek Naga, Yasmine El Meleegy.
