Isaac Chong Wai at Neues Museum Nürnberg (11/11/2022)
The exhibition brought together around 50 works from 11 November 2022 to 12 February 2023 from the new acquisitions of the Federal Government's collection. The selected works were purchased in the last five years and provide an overview of contemporary art in Germany. They revolved around themes such as the war and post-war period, reunification, migration and identity, Europe, racism, and freedom. The diversity of artistic techniques and perspectives is remarkable. The title work Wanderpoetinnen I - Mit der Tür ins Haus fallen von Maximiliane Baumgartner referred to the Lebensreform movement and thus to a central question that connects all the exhibited works: How do we want to live together?
