Sena Başöz and Memed Erdener in the exhibition Yeryüzüne Övgü (Ode to the Earth) (08/07/2023)
Ode to the Earth, curated by Sevim Sancaktar, will be on display at Bayetav Sanat, an alternative meeting place for culture, art, and design initiatives in Izmir, from May 6 to September 17. The exhibition invites us to consider that no current struggle for the health of the planet is independent of the others, and what we can say together and together. The exhibition’s works and research projects ask, “How can we rethink our relationship with the earth through different ways of being?” “How can we perceive the earth more comprehensively while it is being shaped by human hands?” and “What is our responsibility in this?”
