Sandra del Pilar at Solinger Zentrum für verfolgte Künste (09/07/2023)

People tell how the Solingen arson attack shaped their lives in an exhibition titled Giving a Face to the Victims and a Voice to Those Affected at the Solinger Zentrum für verfolgte Künste. Above all, only the people of Solingen can describe their own experiences and memories of the attack. For this purpose, the Zentrum für verfolgte Künste has established a film studio. The studio will be open until the end of September. The exhibition also includes banners dating back 30 years that tell the story of the Genç family. Among other things, the exhibition includes many contemporary history documents.

Sandra del Pilar created portraits of the five victims. At first glance, the faces are unrecognizable in these works. You have to look closely at the pictures to notice. The Solinger Zentrum für verfolgte Künste will host the exhibition until September 10, 2023.
