Sim Chi Yin’s series Shifting Sands has joined the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation collection (10/10/2024)
We’re thrilled to announce that a selection of Sim Chi Yin’s series Shifting Sands has joined the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation collection!
Five works from the Shifting Sands series are now on display as part of the exhibition Look at Us. 25 Years of Art Collection Deutsche Börse. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Art Collection Deutsche Börse, the foundation presents its new acquisitions in an extensive anniversary exhibition, illustrating the ways in which they enrich the body of the collection and enter into a dialogue with existing groups of works. The visual languages and photographic approaches represented in the collection are as diverse as the background, age, or artistic method of the photographers, ranging from documentary to conceptual approaches. Each position offers its own perspective on the collection’s central theme, the “conditio humana”, the exploration of the conditions of human existence and its position in the world.
The exhibition, curated by Anne-Marie Beckmann, Director of the Photography Foundation, in collaboration with British curator Mariama Attah, will run from October 10, 2024, to March 9, 2025.
