Fatoş İrwen at the Touch Nature exhibition at the Austrian Cultural Forum (02/10/2024)
The Austrian Cultural Forum in Istanbul presents Touch Nature, a thought-provoking exhibition that examines the role of art in the face of today’s ecological crises. As part of a larger series spanning twelve Austrian Cultural Offices across Europe and the USA, this multimedia exhibition brings together artists from Austria and Turkey to engage in a critical dialogue on the ongoing destruction of nature and the existential threat it poses to humanity. In the context of the Anthropocene, Touch Nature reflects on how art responds to the profound changes reshaping our world.
Curated by Sabine Fellner and co-curated by Zeynep Sayın, the exhibition will be open to the public at Palais Yeniköy from October 2 – 30, 2024.
