Yane Calovsky and Hristina Ivanoska at the exhibition Building Worlds. Visionary Architecture in the 20th Century‘ at AdA in Dresden (15/11/2024)
The artist duo Hristina Ivanoska/Yane Calovsky will be part of the exhibition ‚Building Worlds. Visionary Architecture in the 20th Century‘ at (Archiv der Avantgarden) AdA in Dresden, which will take place between November 16, 2024 – March 9, 2025. The artists will present their joint research-based work Makedonium: Dramaturgy of the Unfinished.
At the center of the exhibition, the AdA presents visionary architectural concepts, building utopias and dystopias of the 20th century. Crisis situations and extraordinary events inspired architects to rethink housing and living. Contemporary artistic positions in the discursive space alternately frame the presentation of the collection. Installations and actions by the two artist duos Hristina Ivanoska/Yane Calovsky and WIRKUSPRIES (19 November – 12 January) and the dancer and choreographer Nitsan Margaliot (15 – 17 November) explore the theme of the exhibition and Egidio Marzona’s collection in a variety of ways in a changeable space.
