Neriman Polat at the exhibition Vasiyetimdir (It is my last will and testament) (24/10/2024)
Mine Art Gallery Deneysel hosted the exhibition Vasiyetimdir (It is my last will and testament) curated by Beral Madra between October 24 – December 7, 2024 to commemorate Gülçin Aksoy, who made a significant impact on Turkish contemporary art.
Neriman Polat's work, which takes its reference from Neşet Ertaş's folk song Gönül Dağı, examines the feeling of mourning. The work, which consists of interventions on a thin, horizontal, old tulle, contributes to the internalization of the mourning process by turning it into an object with the writings and flowers written on it.
