Heba Y. Amin at Three Tired Tigers exhibition at Jameel Arts Centre (02/11/2024)
Three Tired Tigers at Jameel Arts Centre explored the complex dynamics between humans and animals in urban environments. Curated by Lucas Morin, the exhibition brings together over 40 artists, including Heba Y. Amin, to address how animals adapt to spaces designed primarily for humans. The show traversed various urban environments, such as streets, public squares, and zoos, highlighting the survival and resistance of animals in these landscapes. The exhibition drew inspiration from Dubai’s street cats, expanding to include other global examples of animals in cities. It challenged viewers to reconsider their perspective on the role of animals in urban spaces. The exhibition featured a diverse array of works, blending art with issues of power, history, and survival. The exhibition was on view between November 2, 2024 and March 16, 2025 at Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai.
