Zeynep Kayan at the exhibition Corpora (07/03/2025)

From March 7 to 28, 2025, Kairos will host Corpora, a group exhibition featuring 15 artists and curated by Burçak Yakıcı. This exhibition aims to create a space where meaning is continuously redefined, normative structures are challenged, and new discourses emerge.

Inspired by translator and writer Helen Vassallo’s perspective on translation as a form of intersectional activism with transformative potential, Corpora positions translation not merely as a process of transference, but as a practice of solidarity. This approach expands the spaces of resistance through language and strengthens intersectional feminist struggles. The title "Corpora," derived from the Latin word for "bodies," also refers to a collection of texts. By framing artistic production and the powerful use of language as reflections of the act of translation, "Corpora" invites viewers to experience the creative and resistant force inherent in both disciplines.
