Carlos Aires' solo exhibition The End at DIDAC (21/02/2025)
DIDAC presents The End, a solo exhibition by Carlos Aires that navigates themes of mortality, power, and the fragility of cultural legacies. Drawing from music, art history, and socio-political narratives, Aires constructs a visual and conceptual dialogue on cycles of destruction and renewal.
With a distinctive approach that blends classical references with contemporary concerns, The End challenges our perception of historical continuity and cultural permanence. The exhibition reflects on the fall of ideals, the weight of collective memory, and the forces—both personal and societal—that shape our understanding of life and death.
Through a series of installations and images that blur the boundaries between past and present, The End invites us to reconsider what we choose to preserve, what we let decay, and what we have the power to rebuild. The exhibition will run between February 21 and May 16, 2025, at DIDAC. Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
