Sim Chi Yin at A Silence So Loud at Tiger Strikes Asteroid, New York (15/03/2025)

Sim Chi Yin takes part in A Silence So Loud, a group exhibition on view at Tiger Strikes Asteroid (TSA-NY) in Brooklyn, New York, from March 15 to April 13, 2025. Co-curated by Tao Leigh Goffe and Cecile Chong, the exhibition brings together works by Tuan Andrew Nguyen, Johann Diedrick, Jeremy Dennis, and Sim Chi Yin, exploring the lingering fractures of colonial histories through text, photography, sonic sculpture, and video.

Presented by Dark Lab, the exhibition is part of an ongoing series of multi-sensorial activations examining the weight of imperial violence and the silences it leaves behind. A Silence So Loud threads together military histories from Shinnecock Nation, Jamaica, British Malaya, Morocco, and Vietnam, challenging dominant narratives and uncovering buried histories.
