Lucia Tallová in residence at Telegraph Studio (17/07/2025)

Lucia Tallová joins the Telegraph residency program, and her solo exhibition, I Wish that I Was Made of Stone, will run between July 17 and October 23, 2025, at Telegraph Gallery.

Tallová combines traditional painting with installation, objects, collages, and photography. Her practice is grounded in themes of memory and archive, explored through fictional arrangements and poetic spatial compositions. Working with materials such as old photographs, porcelain, and textiles, she constructs fragile narratives that connect the past and present. Her recurring motifs—dust, ribbons, black ink, and flowers—evoke sentimentality and femininity, while her embroidered landscapes blur the line between minimalism and ornamentation.

During her time at Telegraph Studio, the artist lives and works on-site, with the program culminating in an exhibition and public engagement events. I Wish that I Was Made of Stone reflects her sensitive, archaeological approach to found materials, where intuition and form unfold into lyrical inquiries.
