Heba Y. Amin featured in Bird’s Eye View curated by Sena Başöz (16/09/2025)
On September 16, 2025, the Delfina Foundation in London hosted a screening and talk program curated by Sena Başöz titled Bird’s Eye View: A Screening and Talk on Colonialism and Infrastructure.
The program examines how aerial technologies—ranging from telegraph and wireless systems in the late 19th century to today’s drones and satellites—have been central to imperial surveillance and control. Bringing together works by Jananne Al-Ani, Heba Y. Amin, Mircea Cantor, Harun Farocki, Christopher Stewart, and Hakan Topal, the screening reflects on the weaponization of the sky as a political and ideological space.
The event was followed by a discussion with Professor Burçe Çelik, Dr. Sebastian James Rose, and Sena Başöz.
