Sim Chi Yin at Disobedience Archive (Canopy for Broken Time) (07/02/2026)
Initiated by Marco Scotini in 2005, Disobedience Archive brings together a growing body of film and video works at the intersection of art and activism, foregrounding practices of resistance, collective action, and social struggle.
Developed in dialogue with Raqs Media Collective, the exhibition unfolds through the metaphor of the shamiana—a temporary canopy that serves as a space for gathering, reflection, and collective experience. Through this spatial and conceptual structure, Disobedience Archive invites viewers to rethink time not as a fixed continuum, but as something shared, fractured, and continually reassembled through acts of attention and solidarity. Disobedience Archive (Canopy for Broken Time) is on view from February 7 to May 25, 2026, at Migros Museum Zurich.
