Memed Erdener in Hamburg (16/11/2017)

Memed Erdener’s work “Why Does Tragedy Give Pleasure” was part of the “Design Talks Politics” exhibition held at the Designxport fair and event center in Hamburg. The anthology exhibition, which featured the works of well-known designers and illustrators from Germany and around the world reacting to the current political environment, was held between July 1st and September 9th. The works from designers such as Ruedi Baur, Mirko Borsche, Esra Büyükdoğanay, Esther Czaya and Stefan Sagmeister touched on freedom, democracy and civil rights using a variety of approaches. Following an opening speech from Doug Chayka and Memed Erdener, visitors were invited to a politically-themed dinner organized by Kitchen Guerilla.
