Alpin Arda Bağcık in Capitel Magazine Mexico (16/11/2017)
Alpin Arda Bağcık’s 2016 work “Pipotiazin” appeared in the 9th edition of Capitel Magazine, a non-profit digital and print magazine published every three months by the Universidad Humanitas Mexico. The issue examines education from a variety of perspectives and features the work by Bağcık titled "Pipotiazin" alongside an article by Mexican politician and physician Sebastian Garcia Saiso discussing social services in the context of education and medical treatments. The titles of Bağcık’s works refer to medications given to people with mental illnesses. The artist’s works evaluate the relationship between portrait, photograph and archive within the scope of healing and research of trauma, memory and history.
