The New Islamabad International Airport features a mural by Aisha Khalid (29/05/2018)
The New Islamabad International Airport inaugurated on May 1 features large-scale murals by Aisha Khalid and Imran Qureshi. For the international check-in counter, Aisha Khalid has selected verses from the Quran that are recited before embarking on a journey. The mural is inspired by a traditional Islamic eight-fold geometric pattern. The gold geometric lines describe the act of travelling and the circular vortex patterns denote constant motion.
