Erinç Seymen included in the exhibition ‘Dancing with Witches’ at Museum without Walls (06/03/2019)

Erinç Seymen participates in the third exhibition of the digital arts platform Museum without Walls which offers an artistic experience that is independent of time and space, titled Dancing with Witches. Curated by Mine Kaplangı, the exhibition focuses on Museum without Wall’s theme ‘woman’ and takes inspiration from a current focus on the witch/woman as a symbol of power and works of English literature which foreground women’s rights and equality. The exhibition presents a selection of artworks from the British Council Collection, that underpins the role of female artists whose presence and influence within the history of Western art has been concealed or swept aside, with the addition of works by contemporary artists from Turkey. Dancing with Witches aims at opening a space for intercontinental dialogue by showcasing various contemporary Turkish artists along with more than 20 artworks chosen from the Collection’s different historical periods. The exhibition also includes works by Fatma Bucak, Canan, Nilbar Güreş, Gözde İlkin, İstanbul Queer Art Collective, Pınar Yolaçan, David Hockney, Anya Gallaccio, Paula Rego and Grayson Perry.
