Memed Erdener's ‘We Are Bad Enough to Deserve Each Other' exhibition at Studio-X, Istanbul (19/04/2019)
Memed Erdener 's exhibition with the poet Cihat Duman, 'We Are Bad Enough to Deserve Each Other' at Studio-X Istanbul is on view from 29 March to 9 May 2019. During their trips across 8 neighborhoods of Istanbul, Duman wrote short texts in different literary styles in response to the images while Erdener turned the same images into experiments of typography. In his calligraphy works, Erdener highlights the intellectual poverty as a result of the rhetorics of "national will" and suggests a new way of wandering around the city that is under a fog.
