Memed Erdener participates in 'The Clandestine Life Of Objects' at Evliyagil Dolapdere, Istanbul (26/06/2019)


Memed Erdener's Zebella, 2018 is featured in the exhibition 'The Clandestine Life Of Objects' curated by Beral Madra, held at Evliyagil Dolapdere between 25 May - 14 July 2019. The exhibition consisting of works by 17 artists, focuses on uncanny or abject objects created over the last two decades. These works reflect the all-powerful presence of these investigative three-dimensional works in the socio-cultural environment of Turkey as well as the strength of the artists purpose of visually fabricating and presenting objects, which provoke the society of spectacle into facing an uncanny effect. Besides Erdener's, the exhibition also includes works by Argun Okumuşoğlu, Devran Mursaloğlu, Eda Aslan, Erim Bayrı, Ekin Saçlıoğlu, Erdal Duman, Esin Turan, Mahmut Aydın, Mehtap Baydu, Özge Enginöz, Şakir Gökçebağ, SENA, Sena Başöz, Serkan Demir, Viron Erol Vert, and Yaşam Şaşmazer.
