Isaac Chong Wai at Asia Society with his work 'Falling Carefully', Hong Kong (07/08/2020)


Isaac Chong Wai’s multimedia installation 'Falling Carefully' (2020)  is on view in the group exhibition ‘Next Act: Contemporary Art from Hong Kong’ at Asia Society, Hong Kong from May 8 until Sept 27, 2020. Coinciding with the institution’s 30th year anniversary, the exhibition features research-based works by 10 local artists that respond to the shared history and collective memories of Hong Kong. The artist is also invited to the Art Over Lunch event for the Asia Society members special. In this (virtual) Art over Lunch Isaac Chong Wai in conversation with Nick Yu will discuss what inspired his artwork 'Falling Carefully' in the exhibition, what research went into it and what is not visible within the exhibition. The couple has also will discuss the artist's impressions both from Berlin and Hong Kong, which he is living and working simultaneously. Art over Lunch is co-hosted by Asia Society Hong Kong Center.
