Alpin Arda Bağcık at Akbank Sanat (20/02/2021)
Alpin Arda Bağcık participates in the group exhibition Six Artists Searching for Their Pioneers bringing together six artists at Akbank Sanat under the curatorship of Hasan Bülent Kahraman. Besides Bağcık, the exhibition includes works by Murat Akagündüz, Ramazan Can, Fırat Engin, Güneş Terkol, Burcu Yağcıoğlu, and takes place at Akbank Art Gallery until February 13, 2021. According to curator Kahraman, “Six artists who were born after 1970 and produced their works look at their predecessors upon determining their location. To look is to establish a cultural link. Context is historical as well as ahistorical. The exhibition connects six antecedents that six artists have identified individually to each of them. Or maybe to all of them…”
