Sim Chi Yin selected as an artist fellow for Whitney Museum’s Independent Study Program (2022-23) (30/03/2023)

The prestigious Whitney Independent Study Program (ISP), which has cultivated multiple generations of key thinkers and artists, began during a critical moment in US history, in 1968. Each year, it hosts 12 studio artists, six critics, and four curators in a program which combines art history and studio art, offering courses in both disciplines alongside ones related to critical studies. Its founding director Ron Clark is retiring after more than five decades in the role, marking an end of an era in this influential program.

The Studio Exhibition of the fellowship program will take place between May 17 - 28, 2023
