Selçuk Artut’s Geomart-ut25 at the Istanbul Culture Route Festival (06/10/2024)
Selçuk Artut participated in the Istanbul Culture Road Festival with his exhibition, Geomart-ut25. The exhibition was open to visitors at Istanbul Galataport until October 6, 2024.
The geometric elements in the Geomart-ut25: Seljuks series consist of images that Artut reworked by conducting detailed geometric analyses of traditional patterns found in Seljuk architecture. These patterns were drawn from notable sites such as the Eşrefoğlu Mosque, Sırçalı Madrasa, Sahib-i Ata Mosque, Akşehir Great Mosque, Akşehir Sheikh Hacı İbrahim Veli Tomb, Alaaddin Mosque, and Karatay Madrasa in Anatolia.
